Set in the Forest of Fortune, there is a lot of greenery in the background and it gives the impression that you are heading into the unknown, adding a bit more spice to the slot.

The characters vary too, but they all relate to the main theme of battling. You can even come across some of the vicious wolves, sledgehammers and forest type symbols along the way.

Work through the levels

Another positive aspect about this slot is that you can work your way through the levels, which gives you challenges and goals. Defeating the monsters will see you go through the levels, and as you do, the prizes will increase.

The mystery multiplier will also help you out along the way, coming along and increasing wins by anything up to 20x in the levels one to five, and then by 30x in the highest levels.

However, it’s the bonus shields and swords symbol that is the one to find, as that triggers the bonus round when it lands on reels one, three and five. Initially you benefit as a win is doubled, and it then gives you the chance to defeat three monsters in the battle bonus.

That in turn will take you to the victory spins, while giving you wins along the way and there you will face off against different opponents as you seek to land the huge prizes. In the victory spins you may also come across wild symbols and reels which boost your pot too.

Unfortunately, like many IGT slots, Nordic Heroes can be quite elusive in online casinos, and it might have even become a rarity.
