Multifly is set in a rich, lush forest full of bright fireflies. Five chameleons hunch over the reels, ready to charge them full of multipliers. The special symbols are the scatter and the wild. As is to be expected, the scatter triggers the free spins feature whenever three are present on the reels. Dropdown feature and win multipliers
Dropdown wins are Yggdrasil’s take on tumbling reels (also known as cascading slots). If you’re not familiar with the mechanic, it’s really pretty simple.
Every time a winning combination lands on the reels, the symbols disappear, letting new symbols “drop down” to cover the empty positions. This brings an opportunity to get back-to-back wins without making any additional wagers.
But that’s not all! For each “dropdown win”, the chameleons add a wild symbol to one of the newly-open positions, before the next set of symbols tumbles down. These multipliers multiply, and they apply to the final value of the prize.
Win multipliers accumulate through multiplication instead of addition, so a multiplier of 2x followed by 4x will see you win 8x the total prize.
Free spins feature
Having 3 scatter symbols on the reels triggers 10 free spins. During these rounds, the reel multipliers are also cumulative and don’t reset between spins.
Personally, I was not thrilled with the free spins bonus. It’s frustrating to see how hard it can be to trigger. In fact, I went through almost half the bankroll I set aside for this game before I saw one. To make matters worse, the free spins don’t retrigger. This is by far the most disappointing aspect of Multifly.
