If you follow LadyLucks, you probably know that I’m really into slots, especially Megaways™ slots. In fact, I personally find it pretty difficult to find one I dislike. Unfortunately, the Piggy Riches Megaways™ slot is one of them.

Piggy Riches Megaways overview
The only interesting thing this game has to offer is the Megaways™ mechanic, which isn’t even Red Tiger’s own innovation.
At LadyLucks, we’re serious about helping you to have the best online gambling experience. So if you’re looking for other Megaways slots that will give you more fun for your time and money, we’ve come up with a list of recommendations that you can check out at the end of this review.
Design and theme
This game is a new take on the original NetEnt Piggy Riches video slot. Personally, I’ve always thought the concept must have been inspired by the song “Piggies” by The Beatles, but that’s another story.
At first glance, the design is much improved. For starters, the reels don’t take up the whole screen. Rather, they’re framed in the setting of the opulent mansion that is home to “the filthy rich power couple” of Lady Pig and Gentleman Pig.

The grounds even feature animated fountains spouting water.
The game symbols are pretty much the same as those of the original game. Low-paying royals are the standard 10-A with a tacky design. The high-paying symbols are the game’s characters and pig-themed symbols of wealth, including a wallet and a piggy bank.
Gameplay & bonus features
The most interesting aspect of Piggy Riches Megaways™ is the Megaways™ mechanic itself. It causes the 6 reels to have anywhere from 2 to 7 symbols, which means there are up to 117,649 ways to win. Then there’s the cascading wins feature, which replaces winning combinations with new symbols that give you a chance to increase your winnings.
There are three bonus features, which aren’t all that exciting when you consider that they’ve become the standard with most Megaways™ games in the last year.
- Free Spins Wheel: bonus game that can yield up to 22 free spins.
- Mega Wild: symbols that cover up the whole reel and bring on win multipliers of anywhere between 2x to 7x your wager.
- Scatter symbol: three or more anywhere on the reels trigger free spins.
There are frequent low-paying wins and the bonuses have a fairly low hit rate.
All in all, this game does not offer enough excitement aside from the high risk inherent to its high volatility. In fact, other than the Megaways engine, it doesn’t have anything else going for it.

Piggy Riches Megaways™ review: Surprisingly boring

Red Tiger Gaming’s Piggy Riches Megaways™ game is a basic video slot with little to offer other than a quirky cartoon theme and a Megaways™ mechanic licensed by Big Time Gaming (BTG). Very little effort seems to have gone into remaking the original Piggy Riches video slot by NetEnt, other than coupling it with the Megaways™ game engine.
This video slot has a pretty high volatility and a 95.71% RTP that is slightly lower than average. So it carries a pretty high risk in exchange for the rewarding possibility of huge wins. This can be a great combination, but only if it’s coupled with an exciting gameplay. And that’s where Piggy Riches Megaways™ is lacking.
In spite of its high-quality design and promising bonus features, this slot falls short of the sophisticated iGaming experience we’ve come to expect from mobile slot developers.
