Pegasus Rising opinion: Decent contribution by Blueprint to the genre
Pegasus Rising by Blueprint Gaming does not disappoint in terms of the visuals and sound effects. Given the design of the playing area, my only complaint might be that I needed to squint to see the characters on the reel. This is because an animated Pegasus, standing on top of the reels, occupies half of the height of the screen.
The Pegasus wild appears quite regularly, but I found the Colossal Streak generally very difficult to trigger, though not impossible. The same was true for the extra spins and Rising Reels. While the maximum payout is stated as 10,000x total bet or £250,000, whatever is less, I found wins of as little as 10x could prove to be quite challenging to accomplish. My personal best was just under 100x total bet which came while in the Colossal Streak Feature. Of course, each player’s experience will be different.
All in all, this is a decent contribution from Blueprint towards the Greek mythological genre – though not my favourite.
If players are like me and enjoy Greek mythological themes with medium to high volatility, then have a look at the more intense Divine Fortune from Netent instead. This would be my personal preference.

Pegasus Rising – Game overview
Pegasus Rising slot is a beautifully designed slot that uses hues of darker colours to create an enchanting scenario. Set within a forest, the legendary Pegasus sits atop the five reels with golden wings spread. The majestic image resembles something out of a Walt Disney movie and is quite impressive. If players are familiar with the story of Perseus, then they’ll understand the significance of the four high-paying symbols: Poseidon, Zeus, the Kraken and Medusa. the images have a cartoonlike quality – not overly complicated but effective!
Accompanying the slot is orchestral-style music which reinforces the fantasy/mythology theme.
Play the game with bets that begin at £0.50 and go as high as £250. The game is also available on mobile, tablet and desktop so whether we’re at home or on the move it fits in our pocket using an Android or iOS device.
Game features of Pegasus Rising
The Rising Reels feature is triggered during the extra spins and Colossal Streak Feature by the Pegasus symbol. The appearance of Pegasus will contribute an additional column which results in an extra ten paylines. In total, the reels can rise to as high as eight rows for up to 80 paylines.
The game finds its basis rooted in the legendary Pegasus from Greek mythology.
Pegasus Wild Symbol
The legendary Pegasus acts as a wild symbol that can substitute for any of the other symbols.
When the first reel contains four identically stacked symbols, then the Colossal Streak Feature is unlocked. With the first reel and all other occurrences of it locked, this feature causes a re-spin of the other spaces. The only symbol can that can appear is more of the same or blank spaces. By managing to land at least one more symbol, then it too becomes locked, and a further re-spin is awarded. The re-spins continue until we fail to add a symbol to the playing area. The win is evaluated only at the end of the feature.
Feature highlights include extra spins, Rising Reels, Pegasus wild symbols and Colossal Reels.
The appearance of Pegasus wild symbols on the second, third and fourth reels will unlock 3 extra spins. When Pegasus appears, the number of rows increase by one up to a maximum of eight and awards one more extra spin.
